TripIt keeps your itineraries behind its own app, but it also publishes them as a private calendar feed. Tripstic reads that feed directly, so moving takes a few minutes and nothing has to be re-typed.
In TripIt on the web, open Settings and find Calendar Feed (TripIt Pro users may see it under "Calendar"). Copy the private address; it starts with webcal://www.tripit.com/feed/ical/private/…. Treat it like a password: anyone with the link can read your itineraries.
Only want one trip? On that trip's page choose Export trip to calendar to download a single .ics file. Tripstic imports those too.
Sign in with Google. That is the entire sign-up.
Open Settings → Import from TripIt or a calendar file, paste the feed URL (or choose the .ics file) and click Import. Each TripIt trip becomes a Tripstic trip with the same name and dates. Flights keep their airports, flight numbers and local departure and arrival times; hotels keep check-in and check-out days and times, addresses and confirmation numbers; rental cars keep pick-up and return. Trips you already have in Tripstic are matched by date, so importing twice never creates duplicates.
Past trips import as well as future ones. Nothing is sent to a third party: the feed is read once by Tripstic's servers and the plans are stored in your account.
Forward future confirmation emails to your Tripstic address, shown in Settings. If you have a mail filter that auto-forwards receipts to TripIt, change its destination. Tripstic reads the same emails, and keeps the original message and any ticket PDFs attached to the plan.
Settings shows a private calendar URL. Add it in Google Calendar under Other calendars → From URL. It includes every trip you're on, including friends' trips you travel on. Then remove the old TripIt calendar subscription so events don't appear twice.
Try it with one email. Sign in with Google, forward a booking confirmation to your Tripstic address, and watch it become a trip.
